There are three main types of people that get into airsoft. Reading this, I hope you can identify which one you are, and possibly extract something helpful!
Getting into Airsoft, lots of people go overkill too soon. They buy a gun...50 accessories...enough camo to suit a division...upgrades...then realize they don't know what they are doing. This is the SUPERNOOB.
Going overkill instantly not only hurts the wallet, but reduces your chances of experiencing different things, and possibly finding something better. You will also experience EARLY BURNOUT. This is, when you get so into something that it becomes totally old and boring to you.
Second is UNCLESCROOGE. This is the guy that finds 20,000 rounds of BBs for $50 and jumps all over, not realizing that in this sport, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. He goes onto EBAY and finds a GBB for $30 and wants to buy a few of them, thinking he's just smarter than everyone else. Then he complains to US about his pistol not firing or never even arriving, and how these BBs with small ravines in them are chewing up his barrel and notfiring right.
Third is AVERAGEJOE. Averagejoe probably has it best - and worst. He checks out the sport. Picks a gun. Buys a gun. Starts buying upgrades and accessories. Buys camo. Changes his setup. Buys more stuff. Buys some stuff he doesn't need. Buys something else to match the thing he bought that he didn't need. Averagejoe gets to try everything, but has the MOST EXPENSIVE trip through Airsoft. He just needs to STOP, THINK, and PLAN what he is doing!
Just some things to bring to your attention. By figuring out what I was I managed to isolate and eliminate a few of my flaws. Be totally honest with yourself. You may be able to save yourself some time and money!
